Suzuki to Launch Swift Sport in Early 2012

According to some latest reports, Japanese car maker Suzuki Motor Corp. will launch the performance version of the new Swift dubbed the Swift Sport in select international markets in early 2012.

While India did not get the previous generation Swift Sport, Suzuki says the model will be a three-door hatchback with styling inspired by the S-Concept. Suzuki S-Concept was introduced at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

2012 Suzuki Swift Sport will be powered by 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with 134 bhp. The car will be available with both Manual and Automatic transmission.

Considering that the new Swift will be lighter than the previous model, it would translate into a very favorable power-weight ratio and improved performance.

The Swift Sport will be the first three door version of 2011 Swift. The car will have a wide body and plenty of cosmetic upgrades. The Swift Sport will have better aerodynamics, an aggressive front bumper, a rear wing and diffuser and side skirts with air scoops.
